Comeback Kid - Ottawa Magazine

Another illustration for Ottawa Magazine. This image was created for the article Comeback Kid. It's a very interesting article about Merlot wine and how it has come in and out of popularity over the years. Currently, it's in. Jane, my awesome art director, suggested we use the classic Aesop fable about the crow and the pitcher to bring life to the illustration. The reason: the word Merlot is a derivative of the word merle which is French for blackbird. They figure it was called that for one of two reasons — because the grapes are dark blue/black like the colour of blackbirds, or because blackbirds love to eat the grapes!

Dundee Wealth - Investing for Your Future

Back in September I was asked to complete a series of illustrations for Dundee Wealth. The images were focused at the encouragement of contacting an investment advisor to help plan your future. The three images are a narrative of uncertainty, assistance, and planning. A big thanks to Tracy Symington for presenting me with this awesome project.
