Painting Class

Recent in-class painting session result. I am really pleased
with how it turnt out. We get to choose how we want to work
this semester. I did have a different way before but then I
hated it SO much lol so I think I'm just going to work like
this with acrylic.

"Request for urgent business relationship"

Most recent assignment for interpretive class. The purpose of the assignment was to create a narrative series of illustrations that examine and develop the characters inhabiting the world of Nigerian Fruad email. If you aren't familiar with these emails perhaps you can check your inbox for those pesky "business proposals" where you have been informed of winning $1,000,000 + dollars. Apparently some people have actually fallen for these and some people have ended up dying as a result? I'm not positive on that one so don't hold me to that.

We could interpret in any way we wanted it. Some people went really abstract while others went for a more obvious approach. Either way, it was a fun project. An interesting way of taking something that I may have thought was a bit boring at first and turning into something I really enjoy =)! My story was based on a woman from the UK trying to steal my identity by asking for my SIN number, bank info, etc. because I won the lottery and I she needed to transfer the funds lol. In reality, she's trying to steal my identity. So here is my solution:

Experimentation

Just experimenting with some collage stuff. I really like how it turned out. I will do some more experimenting because this was only my first. I'm going to attempt to incorportate this into our next project because I think that will make it more interesting that way. I'm not interested in it at all so hopefully this will make me feel better and more motivated haha.

3rd Year Painting, First Semester

This is all the work I have produced for the painting segment of the course of the second half of the semester. I like some, and I hate some :)!

Raising the Roof

A joint project between information illustration and computers class. This is the final project of the semester for both classes. Our objective was to pick a topic that would raise awareness and so I chose to raise awareness about Canada's homeless, pertaining to youth. This took me a while to do because of all the art and me trying to figure out After Effects; never in my life have I have so many crashes with a program. Hope you all like it, can't wait to see everyone else's tomorrow!

Carbonmade?

Hey everyone!! So here is my carbonmade site that I had to make for Co-Op. I'm not exactly sure on what the specifications were because I was not actually in the class (due to me not even being aware there was one) so I did what I thought was right!!
