3rd Year Painting, First Semester

This is all the work I have produced for the painting segment of the course of the second half of the semester. I like some, and I hate some :)!

Raising the Roof

A joint project between information illustration and computers class. This is the final project of the semester for both classes. Our objective was to pick a topic that would raise awareness and so I chose to raise awareness about Canada's homeless, pertaining to youth. This took me a while to do because of all the art and me trying to figure out After Effects; never in my life have I have so many crashes with a program. Hope you all like it, can't wait to see everyone else's tomorrow!

Carbonmade?

Hey everyone!! So here is my carbonmade site that I had to make for Co-Op. I'm not exactly sure on what the specifications were because I was not actually in the class (due to me not even being aware there was one) so I did what I thought was right!! If anyone else knows what exactly we're supposed to have (this question is mostly directed to Sheridan students) can you please comment and let me know? Here is mine:

I FINALLY figured out how to edit the appearance of my blog lol! That took way too long -___- and I would actually consider myself to be computer savy. Oh well, I did at leaast figure it out it only took about 2 months lol.

Summer Update

K so I realise I haven't been blogging much... it's not that I didn't want to... I have just been having a really awesome summer, so far :)!! I have been doing a lot of commission work and been trying to find a stable job. With today's economy, things aren't looking very good. I have applied to so many places but no one has hours to give. At least, not at the places I want lol!! I know I can't be picky but I just can't see myself working fast food. Anyways, here's what I've been up to:

Final assignment for painting :)!! This one took me a while and I'm glad with how it turned out. The picture I took doesn't look as good as the real thing but that's okay. To my fellow sheridanee's, have a good summer!!

Love Hurts

Assignment for Interpretive. We had to take a popular song from the 1970's and illustrate the metaphor. My song was "Love Hurts" by Nazareth. I tried to make it look like even though we know love hurts we still put ourselves through it anyways. It's a very poor photograph. I should have probably scanned it, but I am apparently too lazy. I will probably scan it later and update it.

Random Inspiration

Drew this real quick in pen and then coloured it with marker. I really love how the colours turned out. I can't seem to escape my love for alice in wonderland...

Sick/New Sketchbook

Okay so I get to celebrate the new year sick and stuck in my bed lol. I got bored so I did some art in ballpoint pen.

I call that perticular piece "Touch My Body" lol and YES it's like the Mariah Carey song. I also got a new sketchbook over the winter break! It's so sweet! It's made of this really sweet textured paper and bound with this leaf covering. It's really neat. Anyways, here is the only thing I like in the book so far :)!
