Winter Village - Commission

Back in December I was commissioned to create a winter village scene. I really didn't want to make it look too Christmas-y so I made sure to leave out any holiday lights/decorations.

Holiday Gifts Ideas For String Players - Strings Magazine

This illustration was completed for Strings Magazine holiday issue. My assignment was basically to incorporate stringed instruments into the holidays. The New Coming of Winter

This is a piece I finished about a month and a half ago for a group project that is soon to be unveiled. I decided to go digital for this I am pleased with the outcome. The inspiration for the image came from this book I own called 'The Old House Book'. I was just flipping through the pages and I saw this shot of a red cabin in the winter. The rest is history.

Thoughts?
